		01 03-33-01 "Look around ..." Dorothy looks around. If you are describing "The DARK SIDE OF OZ" to some one who has never seen it, this is one you tell them about. Play Clip

"The DARK SIDE OF OZ" happened for me in 1999. I had everything I needed: the 1993 video tape of "The Wizard of Oz", " The Dark Side of the Moon" on Cd, a GO Video dual deck recorder, and a Packard Bell 486 computer to play the Cd on.

What happened was Magic. When the MGM lion closed his mouth after the second roar, I pushed the play button on Windows Media Player. Wait a minute, you said you played the Cd with a computer? Yes, a computer. If you're guessing that the computer was the secret ingredient, that's at least partially true.

I watched this unbelievable thing every day for the next week, and got the idea to record the tape and Cd together. It took 3 tries to get it right. Weird things happened - as soon as the recording was right, my computer suffered a hard crash that lasted a week. When I finally got it to come back up, it would no longer play the Cd at the same speed.

"The DARK SIDE OF OZ" had peeked its head up from the Under Ground just long enough to allow one person a single, perfect recording - and I was the chosen one. I kept asking "Why me?"

Then the answer appeared: The DARK SIDE OF OZ" has a mirror twin, "ETERNAL NIGHTMARE". It was my job to commit these films to dVD and reveal them to the world - an awesome responsibility to say the least.

Every audience is amazed. Halloween screening was at the Somber Reptile in Atlanta, GA. "How did you get them to match like that?" they always ask. I still don't have an answer for that one.

Too good to be true? Cosmic coincidence or message from the other side? What do you think?

		02 04-03-02 "Dig that hole ..." The scarecrow points at the ground. Lots of references to holes, death, dying, and flying.



		03 04-25-17 "... high you fly" Remember when you were a kid, holding out your arms and pretending you could fly? High you fly matches all three times.



		04 04-38-03 "... early grave" Dorothy falls in. Coincidentally(?), Judy Garland died at the relatively young age of forty-seven years.



		05 28-41-10 "Me ... and you ..." The lollipop guild make lewd, although comical, pelvic thrusting motions while singing "me ... and you" to Dorothy. There was at least one instance where a "Munchkin" tried to put the make on Judy. (Dorothy was the original farmer's daughter!)


		06 29-42-13 "Black ... and Blue" The Wicked Witch in Black, Dorothy in Blue. Black and Blue matches again with the Scarecrow and Dorothy in the Palace of Oz


		07 39-58-01 "... and throw away the key" L. Frank Baum also wrote another story called "The Master Key". What key was the Scarecrow throwing away?

		08 42-06-14 " ... beg, borrow, or steal" Steel, he's not made of tin after all. Notice the rust around the seams.

		09 43-11-13 Thump-thump, Thump-thump - sounds like a heartbeat. "If I only had a heart"



		10 46-24-23 "Look around ..." Dorothy, Scarecrow, and the Tin Man hear the arrival of the Wicked Witch and look around. Second match with look around.



		11 46-33-15 "... high you fly" Second match. Here's the Wicked Witch complete with broom.



		12 50-27-23 "Hahhh" Without a doubt, the Lion has the most lyrical matches. This is really something.



		13 56-27-11 "... closer to death". The Lion falls on his back.



		14 57-19-02 "Home ..." Dorothy sits up. "... home again" The Lion sits up.

The listed matches are only a few of the best. There are over 100, not to mention the very, very deep ones: i.e. - "The Wizard of Oz" was written as a metaphor for the gold standard (yellow brick road). The cash register from "Money" rings when Dorothy opens the green door.

		15 57-25-13 "... be here when I Can" Earlier in the forest, the Lion asks the Tin Man "How long can you stay fresh in that CAN?" (Deeper thoughts - be here [beer] ... can --- BEER CAN --- and cold, too. Now that's refreshing!)



		16 57-34-18 "... cold and tired" Cold = Snow , Tired = Poppies. Something to think about - junkies use "snow" when they need to wake up. (This very profound and hitherto unnoticed aspect of the sync was contributed by Moriah Farzana.)


		17 104-38-26 "... bullshit" This is truly remarkable. The Lion clearly says the word, and a few seconds later he clearly says "leer jet".



		18 111-44-23 "God only knows ..." Notice the Scarecrow is bowing before The Great and Powerful OZ. His hands touch the floor when the word "God" is sung.



		19 112-11-20 "... the front rank died" The Lion, who is standing in the front, falls onto his back.



		20 S 112-37-12 S "Black ... and Blue ..." The Scarecrow in Black, Dorothy in Blue. Second Match.



		21 113-09-29 L "Up ... and down" The Lion runs up the corridor then jumps down through the window.

		22 113-54-05 "... the man with the gun" The Scarecrow is pointing a gun.



		23 122-35-11 "You raise the blade" The soldiers have raised their blades.

		24 130-05-28 "... time to dig another one" The wizard points down.



		25 130-12-13 "... high you fly" The Wizard touches the side of his nose like Santa when he wants to fly.



		26 139-19-03 "... closer to death" Dorothy clicks her heels together three times. Unsettling, but dead on it.



		27 140-56-13 "... to their knees" Dorothy shakes her fist. "... softly spoken ..." She points at the Lion. "... magic ..." She points at the Wizard. "... spells" She touches her head. It goes a lot deeper, too.



		28 141-42-13 "I am not frightened of dying" Fade to Black on dying. "Why should I be frightened of dying" Fade to Black on dying again! Touch stone to play clip.
